A flow wrap machine, also known as a flow wrapper or horizontal form-fill-seal machine, is a packaging machine used in various industries to wrap products in flexible packaging materials such as plastic film. The machine forms a continuous tube of packaging material around the product, seals the ends, and cuts the material to create individual packages.

Here's how a typical flow wrap machine works:

1. Product Feeding: The product to be wrapped is fed into the machine either manually or automatically from a conveyor belt or feeder.

2. Film Unwinding: The packaging material, usually a roll of plastic film, is unwound from a roll and fed into the machine.

3. Forming Tube: The film is formed into a tube around the product. The edges of the film are sealed longitudinally to create a continuous tube.

4. Product Insertion: As the film tube is formed, the product is inserted into the tube. This can be done manually or automatically depending on the machine's configuration.

5. Sealing: Once the product is inside the film tube, the machine seals the ends of the package, typically using heat or pressure sealing methods. This ensures that the product is securely enclosed within the packaging.

6. Cutting: After sealing, the continuous tube of film is cut between each product to separate them into individual packages. The cutting mechanism can be a rotary knife or another cutting device depending on the machine design.

7. Discharge: The wrapped products are then discharged from the machine onto a conveyor belt or other packaging handling system for further processing or distribution.
